What To Do After Dobbs: Access to Reproductive Healthcare and How to Help (Webinar)
What is New York State doing to protect the reproductive healthcare rights of New Yorkers and patients from other states? Do our laws protect healthcare providers? What resources are available? How can we help?
Last month, the Office of the New York State Attorney General, in partnership with 24 national law firms and 8 nonprofits, launched a Pro Bono Task Force and hotline providing New Yorkers and people visiting New York with legal information and resources about accessing abortion. Earlier in June, New York State passed new laws protecting the rights of patients and empowering reproductive healthcare providers. And on July 1, New York took its first step toward adding an equal rights amendment to the State’s Constitution that would extend protections to reproductive healthcare and autonomy.
Our speakers, leaders of the Pro Bono Task Force, will update us about the new laws and legal developments, their efforts to protect and improve access to reproductive healthcare, and what opportunities are available for those of us who want to get involved.
