This class provides an overview of the various methods of digital communications available today and discusses the implications for attorney record-keeping and discovery practices. The panel will examine end-to-end encryption, analog versus digital security, SMS/MMS messaging, apps like WhatsApp and Telegram, and social media messaging. Throughout the panel discussion, this course will aim to provide best practices for attorneys to securely and ethically communicate with clients using modern technology.
