In the wake of the New York State Attorney General’s investigative findings that Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and created a toxic workplace with retaliatory behavior, the New York State Bar Association will present a timely webinar about harassment and hostile work environment law.

The live webinar “Harassment and Hostile Work Environment Law” will take place on Friday, Aug. 13 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Specifically, the webinar will explore the recently updated New York State Human Rights Law and its impact on hostile work environment claims. The changes eliminated the restriction that harassment be “severe or pervasive” to be legally actionable, mandated that all non-disclosure agreements allow employees to file a complaint of harassment or discrimination and extended the statute of limitations for employment sexual harassment claims from one year to three years.

Nina R. Frank, of Outten & Golden, will be the event’s featured speaker. Frank represents individual employees in litigation and negotiation in all areas of employment law and is a member of the firm’s Sex Discrimination and Sexual Harassment Practice Group.
