This week on Miranda Warnings, David talks to Elora Mukhurjee about her efforts in providing legal services to asylum seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Mukhurjee is the director of the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic at Columbia Law School and she shares what she witnessed at the border, including the deplorable conditions children were being kept. She also speaks about what the Biden administration is doing to reunite the over 500 children that have been separated from their parents.

She then discusses her involvement in a case involving forced sterilization of detainees in Georgia and how the COVID-19 pandemic is impacting Immigration court proceedings in New York.
